Wow. It has been over a year since I've last posted.  A lot has changed since then. I have transitioned to painting on wood boards (cost effective and the wood grain adds an excellent dimension to the work). I have stumbled into painting people again...I know, I know. Yet artistically, there is still something missing.  That defining piece that defines my style and future direction. There is an internal battle raging between "playing it safe" and "doing something out of the comfort zone".  The vision is still foggy, but it does not look like anything that I have been doing up to this point. That may be a good thing. Breaking down the walls of the self-constructed box I painted myself into. I want to work BIG. Really BIG. And different. From a new perspective.

2011-- Abstract Expressionism

"2005"

Pieces – 6 piece 10”x10” acrylic on canvas abstract series. This is the first intensive delve in the realm of abstract expressionism and huge transition point in artistic life, dabbling in the space of ambiguity, gray area and embracing a lack of boundaries. Creating from an uninhibited place, I am shifting from usual figurative subject matter to matters of the heart. The works of this first collection, “Pieces”, are created from the central theme of moments in time that change one‘s life. Life’s journey is an unscripted one and no matter how well planned, we truly have no control of the story that was written for us or how the chapters will unfold. All we can do is stand in faith and ride the waves.

"InTENtional" Spring Exhibition 2010

Check out my new and existing work at Da Space Gallery in Dallas. Pieces will be on display through the end of the month. Many thanks to Kim Edwards, Da Space Owner, for the opportunity to showcase my artwork in this amazing space!!

The art exhibition was GREAT! Many thanks to all that helped make it happen. I received some amazing feedback on my work and my delve into the abstract realm has yielded favorable response. I can't wait to introduce some larger abstracts to the Green Nose Art portfolio.
